Course
Objectives:
Life threatening medical emergencies heart attacks, cardiac arrest, allergic reactions, acute dyspnea (loss
of speech), seizures, etc. can occur anytime in a physicians office, or corporate America. If and when they do occur in any
setting they present serious problems, which require special knowledge, skills and confidence to act appropriately. It is
the responsibility of every medical office practice and corporate America, regardless of its specialty, to provide initial
emergency care and life support until specialized emergency medical assistance is available.
Our training programs
provides you with the special knowledge and skills to act competently and confidently in an emergency setting. Whether you
need basic life-saving skills (CPR and AED,) Bloodborne Pathogen Training, First Aid, or Basic Office Emergency training for
other life threatening medical emergencies, we have the course for you.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes
knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these
materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged
for such a course do not represent income to the Association.

American Safety & Health
Institute (ASHI) Basic First Aid: Meets current National Standards for the Lay Rescuer Care for the sick or
injured. American Heart Association Adult and Child Basic
First Aid, Meets all currents standards and State of Louisiana Daycare requirements.
(AED)Automated External Defibrillation Having personnel on site
that are expertly trained in the use of the AED provides the victim with rapid defibrillation access before EMS arrival, greatly
increasing the chance of survival. Training includes recognition of unresponsive victims, review of equipment operation and
maintenance, discussion of treatment and hands on experience. AED training is available with all CPR classes or as a stand
alone class.
CPR Training: Meets current National Standards for the Lay Rescuer or the Healthcare
Provider. Two-year renewal/expiration dates must be designated on all American Heart Association (AHA) Emergency Cardiovascular
Care (ECC) course cards. Employers may determine if their employees need more frequent training. However,all AHA course cards
are valid for 2 years.
Child & Babysitting Safety(CABS): This course is an education
program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. CABS topics include child safety, play,
feeding and emergencies.
Bloodborne Pathogen: The objective of this course is to familiarize
the employer,employee and community members with bloodborne pathogens. This course has been developed to assist those who
may have exposure to bloodborne pathogens in compliance with the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard(29/CFR 1910.1030) promulgated
by OSHA.
First Responder: Entry level EMS provider trained to current State of Louisiana
standards.

Emergency Medical Technician Retraining: Preparing the EMT student
for testing of the State of Louisiana standards.
CPR Instructor Course: With successful
completion of course requirements the Instructor Candidate will be able to teach CPR to current State & National standards.
Haz Com Training: The Hazard Communication course assist employers in satisfying the information
and training requirements of The U.S. Department of Labor (OSHA, MSHA) and other agencies.
Haz Mat Training: Meets current State & Federal mandates 29 CFR-1910-120 for EMS providers who may respond to a release of hazardous materials.
Emergency Oxygen Administration Serious and life threatening medical emergencies often cause
oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at rsik for cardiac arrest or brain damage. Supplemental oxygen is a
critical step in treating a life threatening illness or injury. This course focusses on administrating emergency oxygen, rescue
breathing, and oxygen delivery devices.

*Basic First Aid meets current standards for the
state of Louisiana daycare centers, O.S.H.A., D.O.T. and other national organizations for the first aid training. This course
was created by the American Safety and Health Institute. (ASHI) BASIC FIRST AID cards can be valid for up to 3 years.

CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations MUST occur prior to starting
the course. Once the course is started, ALL fees are forfeit! If we cancel due to low enrollment, inclimate weather, or other
reasons, a full refund will be given. We suggest you re-enroll in a new class ASAP. Every effort to accommodate you will be
made.
